So what is a Vampire?

I believe a vampire can be many things.
Good,evil,handsome,gruesome,bloodsucker or vegetarian.
Vampirism is what you want it to be.If you want to drink blood or be an evil vampire then that is your choice.(Not that drinking blood is evil.It is not if it is an agreement between people.)I,personally,am interested in all aspects of vampirism and want to know more.
Vampires can be a number of things.Drinker of blood,drainer of energy,they may dress like them for the hell of it and they may not and other things I am just finding out about.
This site is a work in progress so more will be added every few days or when I get the time.So pop back as often as you like.
I will try to give as many points of view as possible and give the facts as well as the myths.The first section covers both.(Kind of!)Some believe them to be true and others do not.As the site grows I will begin to add the facts of real vampires in our modern world.So I hope you enjoy.

Has vampirism been around long?

Yes it has.It has been a part of human existence for many years.
Cannibalism and vampirism have been around since the dawn of time.
Humans ate other humans for many years until it became a subject too taboo to practice or discuss.So it eventually faded away.
Many vampire legends stem from cannibalistic practices of drinking blood and consuming human flesh.
Many cultures believed that by drinking a victims blood they would gain their strength.Something practiced for many years by many cultures.The celts probably spring to mind.So does that make them vampires?Only you can really decide for yourself but will you be correct?

Does being a vampire mean you are evil?

No it does not.Every living creature has good and evil within them.
It just depends which is the more dominant of the two.
But my opinion is that nothing can be pure evil.
Now I know people will disagree and think of the serial killers and such.But I still believe that even they have some good in them.I am not excusing or dismissing their crimes.I am merely stating that somewhere within them they have some good.It doesn't mean they use it often though.
A vampire feeds off of humans.Maybe not always in the way we think they do.You know.....sucking blood and stuff.It is possible that vampires feed off of energy is it not?
I believe that they do.Have you ever been in a crowd of friends and totally dominated the conversations?
After have you felt 'supercharged', leaving your friends feeling tired and a little drained?
Ever stop to think that YOU may be an 'energy' vampire?
I think a few of us have done it.
We have 'fed' from their attention leaving them feeling drained.
We have consumed their energy.Does that make you evil?
